then he gets a shield after getting hurt enough
then you grenade him
then hurt him some more.
-If you are using the smg, you can push the old mag out by slamming it with the new one in your hand (like an AK)
-you can do this with minimal teleporting if you activate the jump button in the options (and maybe rebind it as a chord if you feel more comfortable)
-if you have a save before the boss, you can throw the extra healing items nearby in the boss arena (if you havent used them or picked them up already)
-lava wave attacks are the easiest to dodge if you jump, if you stay close to the pool you can bait him into doing mostly these (and get the best out of the shotgun)
-when close to the pool watch out for his close range melee, the only way to dodge this is by moving away, he may surprise you with this while you are trying to bait the lava attacks
-staying away from the pool is not recommended as it may trigger his melee lounge attack, to dodge it move sideways in time. personally i found this harder to dodge than the close range melee
-use the elevated platforms only when you need to refill extinguisher grenades, and avoid standing on top of anything in general, both have a chance to trigger his laser attack which can be devastating, if you see him charge this, good luck, it can be dodged but I haven't found a way to do it reliably
-fireball rain is easy to dodge if you keep moving, he may use this instead of the laser, giving you extra time to grab the grenades
-shoot the glass to grab the grenades and teleport/jump away from that platform asap
I think newer games really dont want you to lose EVER because they feel like if you lose you'll stop playing. So we end up with these frictionless games that just hold your hand the whole time and then you never feel satisfied after playing them.
I mean, the freakin ammo regenerates. You have NOTHING to lose by just trying to shoot him over and over.
Seemed a great game, but I am now at the Lava / fire Boss and feel like I have wasted my money 'EASY' setting? I would hate to think what 'HARD' is like. No longer enjoying this game.
In Chapter "The Diplomat" there are also bots that have a similiar attack that you can barely dodge as well. This kind of attack feels so bad.
This boss is the first that can't really be mitigated as you're forced into the encounter.
The game is pretty old-school when it comes to bosses, you're not necessarily just going to breeze past them on your first try, so don't get upset if you can't.
My best advice is to always be ready to teleport away, and watch the boss for the tells that signify what the next attack will be before he makes it, so fast reflexes are not needed.
It's great to know that people of all ages are playing.
First thing you should do is ♥♥♥♥♥ the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about ♥♥♥♥♥ in.
Make sure to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the ♥♥♥♥♥ out of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥ first.
Hope this help.
I'm 65 and I had the same feeling. But I will try again later. Hang in there!
Try avoiding the catwalk areas where possible as they trap you a bit.
Do use the Bamf (teleport) to move quickly. It's not strictly needed, but helps immensely.
