i just figured it out it is shears which makes no sense to me you have to upgrade the work bench to make them

You can also get it with the dull knife you start out with

nope tried that the only the shears worked

It might help to know that if you look at the discoveries tab in the menu and click on the creature it will list each tool, under those tools it will list the things you know drop for each tool with a question mark next to the tools you have not tried.

Am I playing the same game as you guys. I have an Upgraded Printer, Upgraded Forge,Upgraded Work Table, Upgraded Furnace, Chem Station, Chem Table, Upgraded Fabricator,Upgraded Kitchen. I dont see any shears. The game is saying use a Surgical Tool or an Extracting Tool. How? Where do I get them? The Discoveries page talks about a Sharp Tool or a Precision Tool. Same questions. I have uploaded the new version of the game as well bu it doesn't display the version any more.

Okay, so I rebuilt my Work Bench and lo - Tool and Suit upgrades mysteriously appear.
