Osiris: New Dawn (Experimental Branch)

Does this work?
I've just started Experimental branch after 2 years off from New Dawn. I can't find the Alpha refinery mine. Is there still diamond nodes in one of the mines, and if so...co-ords? Is it just me or is this game in an even worst state than years ago? Is it worth me continuing?

The large sprawling wonderful Alpha Refinery as it was in the old 0.1.zzz versions has been deleted. A different Alpha Refinery consisting of a damaged/none-reparable base with damaged/none-reparable rover was introduced some time ago in I think the 0.4.zzz versions. The mine door above still remained.

The current versions, 0.5.6zz, has deleted the Alpha Refinery base and rover. If the player approaches the location the player will still receive a very helpful notice from the game that they are at Alpha Refinery.

In game version 0.5.616 the Alpha Refinery mine door is named, "Gamma Mine Door A".
Here are the map co-ordinates for the door: +6.9 x -6.5

There are diamond nodes in Gamma Mine.
They are in a cavern interior co-ordinates +11.3 x -19.5.

Many thx, Jbuff :) Yep, just got in there. Now I have a spaceship and other well needed gadgets! Don't suppose you know if the Mining droid actually mines. Mine just sits there looking pretty awesome but no command prompt to mine like the old ones.......

Use the droid command tab in your nav map to command droids.

The mining droid will mine, then will search for more nodes to mine. The mining droid needs near constant supervision to ensure it mines nodes you need.

All the droids are broken to some degree. In the droid command view (that is your nav maps droid tab) you can see the game reports the OMPA is patrolling looking for things to repair. Trouble is, it seems to me to never find anything to repair and ends up wandering far away. To keep from loosing droids, player can command any of the droids via the droid command tab in the nav map. The OMPA is good for use as a truck. It can follow you around easily and has decent cargo space. We cannot upgrade the OMPA as we could before. The OMPA cannot mine. The OMPA does not seem to have its 'repairing' structures and utilities animations. The sentry drone, poor ole fella, he seems to be on a never ending supply of spazz-meth. The sentry droid will attack creatures with maniacal zeal. The sentry droid will drop through the surface to a hidden sub-surface and continue attacking. What it is attacking is unknown to me because it is always out of view.

A you can see in my screenshot, I have 4 OMPA through the course of a story mode play through in BTSE 0.5.616. Already one of them seems to have become bored so is heading to map co-ordinates +0.0 x +0.0. We have 5 command options for droids.
