I need to make a Makeshift Chisel but for that i need aluminium. which i need the chisel to mine. I only have scrap.

you can mine with other tools, it's just not as effective. It will destroy your tool quicker a mining will be slower, but you can mine aluminium rather quickly with the blade.

Just Repair-mine, repair-mine. Rinse and repeat. You'll only need one ore. Make sure you're hitting the same piece of ore after you come back from repairing..well-ah.

Just dismantle your starting knife, you get one aluminum and one rubber.

take your bench with you, it is far easier to set up the bench next to the item you want or make a bunch of stone blades.
