Lots of problems with new build

No power in Airlock, so I can't open it even if I build a small solar panel.
Most recipes are missing. I can't even build a basic base as I could before.
Can't turn off the animals anymore.
Can't change the day/night cycle.
Biggest problem is the lack of building recipes even though I have mostly levelled up my skills.

yeah the dev built a mountain right where my base was... whole base compound is gone... so done with this game.

I have the issue you have of not being able to power the base. my mission says to repair the solar panels, but i already did it before i got the mission- so it's bugged and i cannot complete it. I made a solar panel beside the base and it doesn't register power.

Well, I did repair the sonal panels when the mission asked me to, and yet it did not register as complete. Now I'm stuck in this "repair the solar panels". I thought about repairing the energy node, but can't find a broken screen. :-(

That is the irony, I think. The tool you need to get it, you need to get into the base to make. You can't get in the base without power, and you can't get power without the quest. It's a total stoppage. You're supposed to be able to get the screens with the wrench, but I have yet to see that actually work. I think you need the next tool up.

The thing is I am not sure if these bottle necks are intentional to limit our scope of the game or just plain incompetence.

The main bug seems to be mission registering. this has been a problem for years. allow non-sequence mission fulfillment and most of this will solve itself. This bug/feature stops not just abilities but also result in wrong mission messages.

I have the same problem. I repaired the Solar Panel before the mission ask me . Now I'm stuck on that mission.

As a test, I started over from scratch. I got back to the point of repairing the panels, and waited until I had the quest. I repaired them, and the quest never completed. It's just not working, full stop.

You have to get to fenix base and follow the quest there. if you do something the quest log has not yet asked you to do, you might lock yourself out. you MUST start a new game.

All of this is not relevant, though. Broken screens do not drop, and so you cannot progress even if you repair the solar panels.

In short, test branch is broke, yo. Give up for now.

Annnnd there I go.. no broken screens to fix. Perhaps there are broken screens in the mines? Not sure if going there without mission would break the mission system though.
