Bard Horns

Everyone talks about using them with thier bards but I have never found one. Where are these mystical horns at?

you can find them anywhere in bT1 not sure rest they are like fire/frost horns/harps and such.

Really, you've never found any? They're ubiquitous, starting as early as the Catacombs. I usually find one at least every 50 battles or so, well before the last one wears out.

I have never found a single Horn, and that goes back to when I had Bard's Tale on my old 286. NEVER EVER found one once

All I can say is keep playing. Note though that nowadays instruments come in many different flavors, e.g. blast mandolin instead of blast horn, or molten flute.

The locations that I have for best chance for horn drops are Mangars Tower.

Levels 1 and 3 for Frost Horns

Level 4 for Flame Horn

I think I might have picked one up in the 3rd level of the temple of the madgod, but that was back in the old DOS version, and I'm not sure if they changed the item drop tables or not.

In the past hour of playing in the Maze of Dread I've found two Blast instruments and a Frost Horn.

Where you play at, mean progression?
As I remember first place where I have found them was at lower level in Sewers and Catacombs for sure.

I should note that the starting party (when you first start the game, before you create your own characters) has a Fire Horn too, on the bard. You could go back to the Adventurer's Guild and take it from him.
