there is a huge chasm so i cast major levitation but still can't get through.
i'm stumped so i check here https://bardstaleonline.com/bt2/maps/dark-domain_4
it says i need winged creature so i summon demon lord and red dragon hoping they fly me through but it's still didnt works.
what kind of creature count as 'winged creature'? what did i miss? what should i do?

never mind. i found the 'winged creature'. man they should have name it instead
what a weird excuse to make 'fetch this in order to pass' plot.
turn out i'm stuck at double door because i kick bard just for this winged creature. pain.
this game really bend on to force us bringing everything everytime huh

For this puzzle:
- On the first floor, at N14E20, you're given a hint that leads you to N21E12 of the same level to show you how to open the double doors
- On the third floor, at N17, E16, you're given a hint that leads you to the second floor, N5E12 (the map will tell you what its name is) to traverse the chasm

If you don't like this type playing style to explore each and every square of every map to gather hints that can be put together to eventually solve a puzzle by changing your playstyle at key parts of the game, you should probably skip Bard's Tale 2 completely. Bard's Tale 2 is all about obscure hints that you slowly need to piece together in order to overcome a huge puzzle over, and over, and over again. If this seems too obscure or a waste of time for you, you're not going to enjoy yourself...

nah what i dont like is obscure naming like 'winged creature' which itself makes me looking at english definition of winged creature. joke aside the fact that you need specific 'winged creature' is already a flaw because it's common sense that dragon is better stronger flyer who can definitely carry 6 person(or monsters) compare to some uh mantis-like bugs.
also it's weird that despite mages ability to levitate 6 man party member in a whole dungeon or into above floor they can't fly through the chasm.
puzzle is fine even bard tale 4 puzzle is fine and fair but this is not a puzzle but misleading hint. winged creature

Yeah....Bard's Tale 2 is full of these kinds of things. There are many riddles that have multiple answers, but only one particular word or solution configuration is what they are looking for. This is how a lot of games worked back then. Only one particular solution will work, even if many other answers might work for a riddle answer.

If you are used to games that hand-hold you by allowing many different solutions to work for a single riddle, you may be in for a world of disappointment. =P

This is a remaster, not a remake.

One good thing is that at this point, you should be able to find all the answers you need online. That's not ideal obviously if you're a purist, but if you're getting frustrated by BT2 (or any of the titles) and don't have the time/inclination to grind it out but want to finish it, there's ways to get the info you need.
