The hit rate is much lower than, say, the pureblade. Although it hits for much more damage, I dont think the fact that it misses so much is an even tradeoff.

You can make more if you sell the weapon to Garth and then hex edit your savegame file.
1)Sell the weapon to Garth
2)Save the game
3)Open your savegame file in your favorite hex editor
4)Search for 'Sword of Zar' or whatever you want to duplicate (works on any item) in Text. (Hex: 53 77 6F 72 64 20 6F 66 20 5A 61 72)
5)After the name, in the hex code you'll see a 01, change it to FF to make 255 Swords of Zar. Alternately, you can make unlimited ones by changing the next 3 octets to FF as well (total of 4). So 53 77 6F 72 64 20 6F 66 20 5A 61 72 FF FF FF FF.

Sadly, I haven't found a way to add all the items to Garth's shop like you could in the old DOS days.
