(wizardry rules by the way)
(would love to see a remaster of the early Wizardry games)
Killing the wights and ghouls near the stairs on level 3 of the Catacombs gets you around 21K xp each time. So you'll gain a level every 5 clears. 5*26 = 130 clears to hit 50. That should be doable in 2-3 hours.
Thanks for the hint, it's the last achievement I miss. The only thing I do not like about this is that my party will be completely overpowered in BT2 if I do this...
This is also a concern for me and why I plan to wait until the later games to get this achievement. I haven't had much time to play, so I'm just finishing up the Sewers, but I plan to play BT just enough to complete the story line and max out my mages so I can turn them into Archmages right away in BTII.
Good idea, cant you compare that with the easy fixed fights and APAR? The 32 Ghouls should easily die to one REDE and those get you 12k XP in a 7-men-party.
You could duplicate your party outside of the game. Bring one copy to 50, and swap back in the second copy to bring forward to BT2. Just be careful you don't copy the wrong way!
