Can't Start the Game

I need some advice on how to start the game. When I boot it up it loads for a minute and then I'm sent to an option screen where all the text is in Japanese. I've tried clicking on every available option, but I can't seem to leave that screen. Has anyone else run into this? How have you gotten the game to start?

My version of the game started in English (or maybe I had to select English at first, I don't remember). But yeah, it loaded fine for me and I've beat the game about 6 times or more now.

Options should be the 4th thing down if you can see the menu (but it's in Japanese). I'm not at home so I can't guide you through the rest of the menu but I can post it when I get home if you think it'll help.

I am also having this issue. The problem is, the language setting for me is already on English and EVERYTHING else is in Japanese and will not let me accept with controller or with keyboard inputs.

Okay, I'm glad it's not just me having this problem at least. I've tried a few more times, but after a couple frames the game always goes to option menu and I can't get out of it. It's like I'm locked into it.

Guess that's what I'm doing then. I'll get a refund on here then buy it on Switch, since I'm not getting any answers on how to get through this bug. Thanks for letting me know it's on Switch!
