Messages on phone not marking as read?

I'm loving the game so far, but when I get messages on the phone, reading through them doesn't get rid of the little exclamation marks. Is that a bug, or do I need to press a button or scroll more or something?

Edit: Nevermind, just figured it out the moment after I posted this lol. If anyone else is wondering, just scrolling with the scroll wheel doesn't mark the messages; if you just progress through them with Enter (or whatever key you have set up for text progression) instead it works fine.
