Can someone explain the ending and story? [Spoilers]

So I just happen to watch the walkthrough and found it curious about the Yuri curation I followed by considering the game is quite expensive due not having regional pricing so why not just watch I guess?

So I watched all till the ends,
I still found it confused with the story.
Is J.J biologically a female or male?
How about Emily?

The story make sense so far but I found it wasn't clear enough and some people still even question J.J and Emily relationship and their sexuality.

It was really confusing.
As for J.J at first I thought when Their mom found the girl clothes in their wardrobes and diary I thought maybe it was "she" came out as Lesbian and having her "Friend" clothes as a fetish or something. Which also kinda make sense

Then the ending came, J.J revealed as a guy or does J.J actually a girl but trans to a male? (I mean for a guy wanted to be a girl which make sense too if her mom found out there's a girl clothes in his wardrobe he doesn't have any feminine voice or queer yet, maybe because J.J already accepted themselves?)

How about Emily?

J.J. is biologically male. There's nothing to suggest Emily is transsexual.
Their relationship is not 100% clear. Personally I believe they are dating.

J.J. is trans, she was born a male. The J.J. you see for the vast majority of the game is what J.J. herself wants to see herself as. In the real world, she is still in the closet and doesn't present as female hence why it's a shock to her mom that there was female clothes in her closet. There is also a secret unlockable for getting every donut in the game which shows J.J. (in male mode) trying female clothes out with Emily. It's pretty cut and dry as to J.J.'s identity.

Just beaten the game on PS4 after buying it from the Big in Japan sale. Didn't click to that. I just assumed it was a weird dream thing.

Still got about 25 donuts left to collect, so I'll work on that for the bonus scene.

I think Emily is bi or lesbian, what i know is she´s not a boy because her mother say she never had boys clothes and the J.J female clothes on her closet being too big for her , that comproves Emily is a woman... so she is either bi or lesbian and shes hiding it in the school, because in the phone theres a text about J.J being suportive of her secret, remember the only real connection with the real world on the game is the Phone...
