Air craft too durable? / AA fire doesn't do enough damage?
I understand there likely was a balancing thing to make aircraft carriers more viable, but as the game stands it's outrageous currently. The immersion factor is greatly reduced. Especially in test mode when I'm trying to shoot down adamantium UFOs.
If I have a ship with more AA than the entire US navy in WWII, I shouldn't have any issues shooting down 9 dive bombers.
I mean we're talking 50x 40mm bofors, quad barrels... The sky is made of flack. The defense of Zion has nothing on this.
Watching 6 slow moving biplanes flying back to base for 20 sec taking this much fire power is a joke.

You must take a layer defense approach. The 40mm only has about a 5 or 6 mile range 20mm slightly less. Add some 127mm for about 10 to 12 mile range and some 75/76 for in between coverage.
