Is it worth it?
For someone that is leaving WOWS, can you give a honest review of the actual state of this game?

There's not a whole lot of content in it.
You mostly just build ships like Lego and test them in 1v1 duels against bunch of pre-made ships.

That's about all there is so far.

since it is still in EA if you have played battleshipcraft, warshipcraft, And Simple planes
its a mixture of those.

theres also custom matches in where you select your ships for a team
and aswell as enemy ships from either the workshop Or your own ships

while multiplayer is planned we ae not sure when yet

I play Wows regulary, (not on steam anymore), bought this game some days ago, and I found it very interesting.
At the moment, I am struggling to build a ship that will look close to that in WoWs, frustrating how I fail every time, but interesting at the same moment.
There is a lot possibilities, hope even more is to come.
It is really enjoying to watch your creation fight against air attack, (Halland suck in comparison with an AA monster I created 😄) or fight historical ships as Yamato, (sunk Yammy with my 36 pieces 457 mm barrels 😆) but that is most you Will get for the moment.
Game has a Great potential, once PvP is introduced?, and things get polished, could be an excellent game.
In any case I recommend supporting devs, and have this game in library for future.

Well, I think I will wait then. Ty for the answer!

I've been in WoWS myself (not through Steam) since Beta and they are starting to kill the game seriously. I found this by accident. I use to play Warship Gunner and Warship Gunner 2 for PS1 for many years. If this actually goes MMO then we might have a winner here! I think I'll add this to my library just in case it goes big time. See ya on the water!

Shame I hear there's no campaign mode. They add a lot to games like these. From the Depth's campaign is far from perfect but it's also a perfect example of why having one at all adds so much.

Haven't read the above comments but for what it's worth my time with the game has been alright. There is a lot of work to be done mainly with the physics that aren't there, for example you can't capsize your ship and hitting thigs such as islands does no damage. The ballast and weights are a little off too etc. However there are many pros with the current state of the game, the building system is relatively easy to understand and use, there are a lot of components ready for use and those which aren't there can be added via mods although finding the right mod and where it is can be tricky. All im going to end with is at the moment its not bad for the price but could be cheaper and i'd probs wait till the next maj update.

I think Campaign mode is planned, but from the roadmap I saw it might be awhile. I believe the order of things I saw was seaplanes > aircraft carriers > campaign > multiplayer.

Vanilla navalart is quite "bland", although the dev adds more weapons per major update. If you go to the navalart discord server and download some mods, the game will actually become quite fun

Yes it is worth it but , be aware it is steep learning curve in its current form , do not expect plug and play . you are going to spend hrs just trying to grasp building a basic ship item placement can be testing at times .

there is no simple quick way into this game like some other open sand box games imagination is the limit here .

also those more familiar with 3D modeling will grasp this more quickly than I have so far.
I am also sure there is quicker ways to build than I am using.

In short if you are looking for a quick game for a short 30 minutes or so to play then this as it stands is maybe not such a game , if you are fine with investing hrs in construction and testing then the game is fine in its current form .

Things should become more user friendly and with added things like Tutorials and and expanded game given more time from this one person operation.

Mods does improve the game alot by adding wacky scifi guns or more real detailed ones (Download from the NavalArt Discord group). They're planning on adding more content for carrier builds like planes and prolly stuff for submarine builds as well. I usually improve my build by downloading workshop ships and just see how other people do it, and just incorporate those build technique to my own designs (Like the Japanese Pagoda masts or gun placement etc).

If i'm not mistaken the Dev is a one man team (correct me if i'm wrong) but still many updates to come.
