You mostly just build ships like Lego and test them in 1v1 duels against bunch of pre-made ships.
That's about all there is so far.
its a mixture of those.
theres also custom matches in where you select your ships for a team
and aswell as enemy ships from either the workshop Or your own ships
while multiplayer is planned we ae not sure when yet
I play Wows regulary, (not on steam anymore), bought this game some days ago, and I found it very interesting.
At the moment, I am struggling to build a ship that will look close to that in WoWs, frustrating how I fail every time, but interesting at the same moment.
There is a lot possibilities, hope even more is to come.
It is really enjoying to watch your creation fight against air attack, (Halland suck in comparison with an AA monster I created 😄) or fight historical ships as Yamato, (sunk Yammy with my 36 pieces 457 mm barrels 😆) but that is most you Will get for the moment.
Game has a Great potential, once PvP is introduced?, and things get polished, could be an excellent game.
In any case I recommend supporting devs, and have this game in library for future.
edit: i just bought it
I think Campaign mode is planned, but from the roadmap I saw it might be awhile. I believe the order of things I saw was seaplanes > aircraft carriers > campaign > multiplayer.
there is no simple quick way into this game like some other open sand box games imagination is the limit here .
also those more familiar with 3D modeling will grasp this more quickly than I have so far.
I am also sure there is quicker ways to build than I am using.
In short if you are looking for a quick game for a short 30 minutes or so to play then this as it stands is maybe not such a game , if you are fine with investing hrs in construction and testing then the game is fine in its current form .
Things should become more user friendly and with added things like Tutorials and and expanded game given more time from this one person operation.
If i'm not mistaken the Dev is a one man team (correct me if i'm wrong) but still many updates to come.
