DAYMARE: 1998 is a survival horror game from the studio behind the fan remake of Resident Evil 2. The story is set in August 1998 in the fictional town of Keen Sight during a chemical outbreak, a special security team investigates the incident, which could escalate beyond a simple security breach.

The campaign features five well-paced chapters that include engaging puzzles, though the variety of enemies and weapons is limited. The stages, such as a laboratory, hospital, and sewers, provide a classic horror feel. The game offers around 10 hours of gameplay. As a die-hard Resident Evil fan, I would rate it 7 out of 10.
