Fixed Camera Perspective
Don't worry, I know I am in the minority on this thought but Classic RE style is the only RE style worth emulating. I don't expect any changes to bring this, maybe its just worth mentioning to keep the memory & hopes alive for future titles here & elsewhere.

For suspense & horror the camera type works so well. In fixed camera view its as if you are spying in on the world but with limited angles. This can instill different behaviors & tactics within a player, it also has a nice cinematic feel.

It can work for co-op as well.. Here is some videos I made long ago for an indie dev, showing some escape mechanics from the PS2 online co-op game "RE:Outbreak" (pvp would happend during scenarios too when players get rowdy &/or don't want to work together). Not much gameplay in my vids below, just linking as a visual but it does show different moves some of the characters have (there are others), these moves were built around this perspective style.

Pretty sure they mentioned a while ago that fixed camera would be an option.

It was a goal on the kickstarter but it failed. Hard to say now..

A manual zoom with fixed perspective would be kind of interesting. Though they weren't a manual zoom, I'm reminded of some of the sweeping camera effects from Re:Outbreak & File 2.

That's pretty bad if the only option is OTS...one of the worst things about the official Re2R was the lack of it, for me it kind of ruined the remake. :steamfacepalm:

http://invaderstudiosofficial.com/site/daymare-1998-coming-playstation-4-and-xbox-one-with-addition-of-fixed-camera-mode/ Pretty sure fixed camera was supposed to happen.

And PC?!

PC?, umm obviously due to Steam. I think the main issue is lack of fixed camera's or it will just end up like every other average ots shooter.

I meant will there be a fixed camera available for a PC release?

Might not be but not sure. If it's removed I might not bother with this since originally was looking forward to this when they claimed they were trying to make a classic horror game due to the kickstarter having fixed camera's but sadly most stuff I've seen seems focused on OTS on the store instead of classic RE style game-play.

Not having this option could well cause this project to backfire

Hope not having this option this does not backfire

Most likely will. Main selling point for me was the fixed camera's....now I'm not sure what the point of the game is anymore. I guess it's time to move onto other proper survival games I've been tracking instead unless the dev's sort the issue out.
