Cooling puzzle makes no sense
Okay, so, I'm a dummy that couldn't figure out how to do the cooling puzzle, so I had to look up the solution, but I still DON'T GET why that's the solution, can somebody explain?

Hello!!
There are 4 different temperatures for 4 different chambers. In the main terminal you can move one single bar of Nitrogen and change the temperature in each chamber you see in the display trying to get the one that is showed in the monitors near the chambers. Of course, putting a bar of Nitrogen the temperature will decrease the degrees. Hope it can be useful ;) ;)

Yeah I know that you’re supposed to have chamber 1 full and chamber 4 with 2 bars. My question however is - where are the clues to hint that’s the solution?

The clues are in the room you're currently in and the previous room. There are 4 big square tanks with numbers on them foing from 01 to 04. Near those tanks there are monitors with temperature values that those tanks are supposed to have.

Wait, REALLY? I saw the current temperature values being displayed, and had assumed I had to mirrow the working ones with malfunctioning ones, never noticed the values they should have

Yeah, those are actually the target values, not the current ones.

Uh. But there are 4 monitors with values, and I think 2 of them are not saying 0

Tank 01 has -15° on the monitor.
Tank 02 has 20° on the monitor.
Tank 03 has 05° on the montior.
Tank 04 has 00° on the monitor.

Those are the target cooling values you're supposed to have on hte puzzle screen.
One cooling unit adds/removes 10°.

Hint: by the end of the puzzle you need to have one unit in the exchange tank.

You can also interact with the monitors to have more info and also read a file, hidden in that room, with some suggestions ;) ;)

no need to look up on the web for this one ! i just assumed that the security system doesn't let you open the chambers if one of them is not at the right temperature.

The monitors are were misleading. The text displayed reads "Chamer temperature", and it's more than reasonable to assume that this is the temperature of the chamber, because that is the important information and that's what a real monitor would show. It would be better to make them show the current and the needed temprature, like "10 C/-5 C", that would be help players to think in right direction and would still be true to the environment.
I did find the scientist's request to the techician and I did read it, but it wasn't too specific.

Yeah thanks for pretty much perfectly elaborating on my thoughts

This exactly. The monitors look as if they are displaying that temperature, not displaying what the temperature should be. It really not a puzzle that's laid out very well.

Have you tried to analyze the monitors with the interact button?

In my game it said "Room temperature". It probably should have said something "Set temperature" or "Target temperature".
