Priming and Breeding
Are there ways to control how a primed stat is passed to offspring?
Will my primed creature have higher chances to pass a perfect +15/-15 heredity based on...
-the raw number for each stat (i.e. highest/lowest)? So basically level.
-the greatest difference between the highest/lowest?
Or is it just 100% random?

Once a creature is primed and you go to breed it, it will say what hereditaries will be passed down.

Now if you have one monster that has a +15 in Attack and Speed, and a -15 in Intelligence and Defense, and then you breed it with one that has a +15 in Attack and Defense, and a -15 in Speed and Intelligence, you should get an offspring that has a +15 in Attack and a -15 in Intelligence.

None of it is random, but it all has to be balanced out.

If you have a +4 and a +3 in one stat, those would add to be a +7, for example.

Okay sweet, I also just found my first stat tome. I had to hop off without looking into it but if I remember it said it added a stat (in this case intelligence) that also passed through heredity.

These tomes are just to clean up heredities that might be slightly off right? They can't boost a stat higher than +15?

No, I believe the tomes just raise the actual base of the monster, not giving it a + or - to hereditary. There's actually a different item that can do that...

Ahhh nice nice, thanks so much!

How do you know the exact value of heredity beforehand though? It just says +/- when breeding but is there any way to know the values?

Based on what I asked and the answer I received I would say no :/ I was hoping there was.

Well, It's based on the hereditary of the parents. Every time you breed it gives a plus or minus for one individual stat. If they already have like a +5 and then you have a +3 in that same stat on the other parent, the kid will come out with a +10 if both parents give that gene off (5 for parent 1s stat, 3 for parents 2, 1 for parents one natural hereditary, and 1 more for parents 2 hereditary). If that makes any sense whatsover. At least, I think that's my current understanding. Maybe if you had a screen shot of two possible parents we could run through how it would turn out.

That makes sense but how do you know how much the first primed parents give before it shows any (+#)'s? For me at least (I comfirmed this with the dev) primed creatures don't show their bonuses, they are just "primed" to pass on some. So is it just guess work for the initial parents or do they always pass a certain amount of their highest and lowest?

So when primed, creatures will always add +1 hereditary to highest stats and -1 hereditary to lowest stats? Is that correct? So if you breed with only one same primed creature without initial hereditary over and over again (assume the offspring is the same as the main parent) you need to breed 15 times to reach the max/min for those two stats?

Assuming that the parents have no heredataries already (such as ones with eggs found) then yeah, that sounds about right
