A Nether trait is given to your creature at random from Speed, Attack, and Defense(experimented about 5 times and it only showed this trait for these 3, very possible it can be for other stats). This trait gives 1% of whichever stat it chooses to your teammates. Possibly upgradeable?
You get a minor boost of stats, which is as described in the library.
The +3 remained on my Ugat that I bred. I imagine when you upgrade a Nether creature's maximum level, it continues the same flow(so my +3 would be a +4 or whatever when I upgrade it through a Nether item). Just speculation on this one.
I'm having a bit of fun using other creatures besides Ugat which is why I was reconsidering- that and a Potion of Transforming is a costly 30 emblems. Wish there was a way to obtain emblems faster.
Both Emblems and Dust seem to come in very slow.
I'm about 20 hourish into post-game and I've never used the gem enchanter except to remove some properties that screwed up gems' mana cost.
A good question. In Siralim 2 you could upgrade it, I don't know for Siralim 3 so far. But 1% seems too weak to be not upgradable
So first off I used the Potion of Transforming on my MuMu (death starter creature) right after I got it. I do NOT recommend using that potion post game, and even then not until you have gotten Deified with Tartarith. That unlocked the blood alter which you need in order to use the three knives. I will talk more about the knives later.
Now, when you have a Nether creature decided, that hereditary bonus sticks. So if it's +30 or +300 that hereditary is still there.
The nether creature also gets a unique nether trait which increases the stats of your other creatures by 1%. I believe it is random, but a creature can start with Nether Traits for attack, defense, speed, intelligence, or health. 1% isn't a lot, but luckily you can find items called Pills of Upgrading. You can use these on a nether creature to improve its Nether Trait by 1% up to 25%.
If you decide that your Nether Creatures trait is not the one that you want you just have to grind Meraxis Emblems. It's not fun, but just keep on running either his lower realm levels or use the Alteration spell to select the realm type. The alteration spell is unlocked with reaching exalted or revered with Friden. The Alteration spell can only be used post game, but it's useful to grind the rep even if you haven't beaten the main game.
Meraxis sells scrolls to change your nether creatures trait along with a few other useful items for nether creatures. I won't spoil *everything*.
Now, let's get onto the more fun details about Nether Creatures.
Nether creatures are extremely awesome boons to your team. Think of them like a super hero for your team. If you're a death mage, think of them like a second Saia.
Nether creatures are able to get three extra traits along with five extra spell slots through the use of special items. You use a type of knife to get traits and you get can find Books of Wisdoms as drops to get the spell slots. So if you're smart you can make a fine-tuned critter that syncs with your team amazingly.
Lastly, I am going to talk about Knives. There is three knives you can find. A gore knife, a blood knife, and a slaughter knife.
The gore knife is used to sacrifice a creature to get a legendary crafting material that has that creatures trait. That can of course be put onto an artifact to make it fit your creatures better. You find these pretty commonly.
Next up is the Blood Knife. A blood knife is used to sacrifce a creature to get a catalyst. A catalyst gives you a consumable item that gives that sacrificed creatures trait to a nether creature. This will take up one of the three extra trait slots your nether creatures can have. This is the knife I had the most trouble finding a lot of.
The final knife is the slaughter knife. This knife is used to sacrifice a creature to get a nether chrysalis. This chrysalis is the item used to increase a nether creatures hereditary. You get one chrysalis per rank of hereditary. Post game it's really easy to find eggs of creatures that have +10 or more hereditary. Probably cruel, but I use those as a sacrifice to get the most chrysalis per sacrifice. If it's +10 you get 10 of the chrysalis, +5 you get 5 chrysalis, etc. You can give them all at once to your nether creature.
