Also am loving that the overworld is displayed in 21:9 not sure if i ever tried the second game on this monitor but it looks great, did not even expect partial ultrawide support so thats a huge plus in my book.
Early on, you'll probably use what's given to you via artifacts and spell gems. The spell gems, especially will determine at least one of your members. If you get a killer spell like Chain Lightning early on, you'll absolutely want to slot in a Nature creature.
One of the best early combinations is using Imp Hexer / Imp Sacrificer. They allow you to double-cast Nature spells and cast Shellburst (a Nature spell) for free with all your creatures. Shellburst can help you overcome large armored enemies early. Imp Hexer comes from Torun at his first favor level.

Only a few monsters and effects will care about what class your monsters are, and they'll tell you (for example, the Sphinx Elder gives everyone 10% more stats for each creature of the same class on its side). Go wild otherwise; you're not going to see many examples of these early on.
