Did 2K lock the FRAME RATE to 30fps?
Today, I noticed my frame rate was locked at 30fps!!!

The in-game SETTINGS say it is on 60fps / 60Hz, and Vertical Sync is NOT on half frame rate mode (as there is an option for low GPUs, which is OFF). PLus all my other games run in high frame rates, as normally 60fps or more. It is ONLY NBA2K19 that is stuck at 30fps.

Switched many variations of settings, and rebooted game, reset PC, but still the game is seemingly capped or locked at 30fps!

It looks so SHAKEY and lame! I cannot bear to play it in 30fps.

Yesterday it was running smoothly in 60fps, but something seems to have gone askew, now that I had internet connected when running game today.

I hope this is NOT a deliberate stunt done to 2K19 to enforce gamers to update to the newer 2K21 game/s?

Since the online mode has been DE-ACTIVATED, and the MY TEAM mode is gone, now it seems they have sabotaged the offline mode/s by locking the frame rate to 30fps!

Bad enough they removed the MY TEAM mode, so we gamers CANNOT even access our basketball cards which were purchased with money and game XP coins. Ruining any INCENTIVE for players to buy or progress in future 2K GAMES, since they will probably just SHUTDOWN the game mode, and switch off the internet servers after 1 year, to force everyone to buy the next game EACH YEAR.

Do you also think that they could have locked the frame rate, as another tactic to deter gamers from playing the older 2K games, and forcing them to update by buying the latest 2K21?

Most Developers release a game every few years, because it takes TIME to make something fresh and good. NOT just pump out a game each year; or pump out the SAME OLD GAME with slight alterations.

If 2K make a worthwhile new game that get GOOD REVIEWS, then I will certainly buy it, but anyone wise will NOT PAY for the same old game slightly refurbished, with minor alterations.

I miss EA sports! They originally made NBA Live, which was at the time, the best!
Since everyone jumped ship, to 2K due to marketing, before it even became overall better game mechanics, many years ago.

Hope EA make a comeback, as 2K have turned NBA game into a gambling device for children, to exploit the impressionable.

Has anyone else encountered this issue of 30fps maximum frame rate?

Could you test your 2K19 out and have frame rate settings on-screen via Steam?
