I love Bball but hate scams so didnt buy 2k18. But is this also a scam and people support scammers?

2K's greed is just ruining their sports games IMO.

Does this game not sell well enough that it needs microtranstions? I could understand the microtransactions if this was a free-to-play game but it isn't; it costs £39.99!

And for those people who are going to say you don't have to buy the virtual currency to play it; that's true but the gameplay is deliberately designed around making you have to grind more to get anything which would previously have been more easily obtainable. If it wasn't then there would no incentive for anyone to buy the microtransactions in the first place.

I refuse to buy the NBA 2K games at full price. 2K simply do not deserve all my money. I usually pick them up cheap later on. I paid under £10 for NBA 2K18 for example (unfortunately, I never got around to playing it).

The only way 2k is fun is if you run park, but park puts your overall as a badge on your player and nobody will touch you if you didnt spend 50$ to get to 85. Everything in this game is designed to pressure you into spending money.

UUHHHMMM! It's a good game, my only problem with the ♥♥♥♥ is my character is slow as hell, which leads people to be pissed about micros cuz its the only way you upgrading your char, BUT all in all, you coming out of the G-League LMFAO YOU SHOULD NOT BE GOOD IMMEDIATELY! IT'S THAT SIMPLE! No 2k starts your char at 70 overall, always in the 60s. If you never was a fan of 2k, just stay away. Go play Live, less complaints that way!

Yeah but I can't blame the developers for the community being so damn stupid. 2k is the way it is because of the sheer stupidity of it's consumer base. People like to blame VC but even with all the VC in the world the community would still be piss poor. Playing in the park makes me sad because I think about how these people I'm playing with are actual humans who have lives, like if they can't perform basic task in a basketball game how in the world did they even manage to make it this far in life? 30 minute ordeal to start a game because everybody runs away...so scared to take a loss that they don't even play the game then they go to the boards and complain about the game being broke or 2k being greedy. Sadly, they are ignorant to their own shortcomings and think it's some external factor that's runining their experience, that has to be a mindset that translates to real life everyday activities. There's a difference between the people who are trash because they don't know the sport but you can tell when someone just doesn't understand the sport vs when someone is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid, selfish and ignorant. Basketball is universal so ofcourse I expect large differences in IQ but some guys really be out here with a 4:1 win ratio while being dumber than rocks but knowing how to either cheese or avoid playing against anyone who is a threat to their sweet sweet W/L. I think 2k should be harder, much lower shooting sliders so that scrubs are forced to think about what they doing.

No the game is not a scam, it is the best basketball videogame of all time. 3rd Best sports game ever imo, we have not had a sports game this good since NHL '94 and NFL 2k5.

I somewhat agree, as much as it irritates me why wouldnt 2k make the game as it is if people keep buying it and buying vc. You may not site vc as the problem, but the issue isnt that you cant get the illusion of being good without buying it, its the sheer amount of time you have to grind which makes paying for it such an easy way out. And because the majority of the playerbase is highschool kids finding people becomes difficult.

I added a guy a few days ago that was talking about how he was nice at the game and agreed he didnt need to join the parents credit card squat to win, so i hit him up over and over and hed always say "im not good enough, i have to grind or ill lose" like my guy if you cant beat park randoms with a mid 70 you arent with it like that. Sure nobody wants to lose on purpose but you have to actually play park to get better at it, you cant just be carried everytime.

As for the sliders i think it should be harsher on people who dont play defense, shooters are already handicapped to the point where if your team doesnt know what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ switch is you have guys with maxed out speed just holding the turbo the entire game. But at the same time i shouldnt be able to shoot in someones mouth.

Theres too many idiots in this game whod rather be the best player on a losing team than the worst player on a good team. I just want to win.
