NBA 2K19 My career not continuing story

I just have games with my team nothing is happening I played 20 matches and it's all the same. In 2k18 it had B fresh and a story. I clicked to skip the prelude if that means anything. Is that a bug or it just doesn't have?

That IS the story, you start in China and work up to the NBA in the prelude. Its connected to when you get to the NBA. Idk what happens if you skip it

I agree, just posted about the same thing. I played over 25 games and my phone rang once wtf? There is nothing after you start your first NBA season. Playing against players in the prelude storyline has no advancement. Very lazy of 2K imo.

How isn't it 2 hours lon @ana.miha2? I played like 6 hours prelude, not sure how long exactly
But I also think, its lame if there's nothing happening at all

Yeah I just beat Marcus young for the first time since the prelude, albeit only game 10 of the season, but not even so much as a conversation with him. DA spoke about it quickly during intro segment, but that’s it. Surely something will happen?

A lot of people complained about the story nobody wanted last year. So this year they made the prelude 5x longer and allowed you to skip it. I hate MyCareer but I kinda want to play it because the Prelude is immersive. Without it you have no back story or reference and are just playing games.

Dont get it. U skipped the prelude sequences and now u complain that there is no story afterwards? isnt this a bit....
I played the prelude almost 7 hrs with watching every cutscene and I kinda liked it storyy and presentation wise. Way better then the spike lee joint from 2k16.
But I dot need pointless annoying comedy sequences with exaggerated, childish humor just to have them between the games
