How to preserve MyCareer file?
I played NBA 2K15 and 2K16, where in both cases my characters were deleted by 2K. The answer they gave me was as follows:

"I apologize for the inconvenience; this eventually happens with all NBA2K titles. However, you are still able to play the game offline, you will just need to make a new file."

Before I spend any real time in 2K19, can I confirm if there is any way to prevent the same from happening? In those games I spent hundreds of hours on characters which I maxed the hard way, only to have 2K intentionally delete them (probably to force another purchase).

I wasn't given the option to make a character in a local file as opposed to cloud - Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!

The servers only run for atleast 2-3 years so for example NBA 2K18 servers are still online but they will be shut down this year the 31 of December this happen for every single 2k game, the only thing that you can played on the offline 2k games is play now, i just recommend you to pre-order or buy 2k20 because the game will come out in 2 months, and this game will probably die out on the PC by then due to the fact that the community will move to 2K20 or you can wait for a Sale that i highly recommend you.

Is that true just for 2K19? They at least said I could remake it in an offline mode (for 2K16).

This whole concept seems like a shameless cash grab. Should not be legal.

Not that I can see, no. Aside from disconnecting your internet.

So you have to force it by being offline when you try to access the mode through your save file?
