Outlaws and Windows 11
For the last week it was actually working (somewhat), but now the blue screen of death has returned/crashes every time. Other issues: almost all the horses were frozen in place by multiple players so finding a free horse took real luck. Same with all the regular animals and miners-all pretty much frozen. I'm trying to be optimistic as being able to play again, even limited, was fun. Hopefully the newest prob with Windows 11 will get addressed and the other issues taken care of. Then on to the real problems-hackers with underground complexes of crafting tables/furnaces, endless amounts of gun powder : (take out the furnaces) and make people craft the GP by mining salt/coal/sulfur

I thought I was the only one with issues and Windows 11. I used to play Outlaws both publicly and on my dedicated server back on my Windows 10 machine. Now I have a 12th Gen Windows 11 rig with 128 gigs of ram and other goodies to be able to run "anything" I want. Been great EXCEPT now I want to play Outlaws again and when I try to run it, BSOD with the stop code: Worker_Invalid error.

Been researching and all I've found the last two days is it's either a bad file with AVG anti-virus, or the application itself is corrupt. Well, I DO NOT USE AVG and the file it states is nowhere on my system. So I uninstalled Outlaws, scrubbed my registry, cleaned my drives of ANY traces of Outlaws, and re-installed it from scratch. BSOD at launch.

Someone needs to address this serious issue with Outlaws. I checked around and two other co-workers trying to run outlaws with Windows 11 is getting the exact same error as me.

It is possible to run the game in Windows 11.
For me this worked:

Greetings

This game had development stopped by its owner the publisher who removed the developers access and ceased their contract, Development was stopped before Win 11 was announced so good luck if you own Win 11. See the other threads in the forum about this. :bandit:

Even though the official servers are still up they are not being actively maintained so your best bet is to try to find private server to play on or just play solo or co op with friends. :partyboo:

Change your display settings or add it into the launch settings to start up with a lower display. Works like it used to.

I run it with Windows 11 off-line. B550M-C Azrock Motherboard, AMD 6500X Graphics card, and 16GB RAM. Worked fine until recently when it occasionally crashes requiring a computer restart (about once every few hours). Have a hardware monitor measuring temperature, amps, watts, clocks. No sign of stress when it blacks out. Game has the trapped mouse problem due to poor animation recycling but is still very playable.
