Do console commands work?

I followed every step for activating console commands (single-player game), even created a AdminList.txt file, with steam id. But no matter what I do, there is never any console box in the ESC menu.

I have also tried the summonitems command in the console box (Shift ~), but nothing...

You can activate admin on a SP game, just do as Kinzo noted above

There just aren't that many commands to bother with though for a SP game. As teleport is/was buggy and would spawn you under ground

I don't quite understand why I would need to start up a server, for single-player game, since I assume that is what the game does (by its own notes), when you start up a single-player game.

Yeh, it is working on single player.

I am not sure why - but it is now working.

Just got Merck set up , he was going to the wrong server folder , you don't go to the %appdata% folder , it is in the C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Outlaws of the Old West\WindowsServer\Outlaws\Saved Folder , or wherever you put your Steam Games at .

I made one program to change console to F1 key, enable admin commands on Single Player and use admin commands just pressing Pg Up, Pg Down, Insert and End keys on keyboard.

DestroyTarget - Destroys the target at center of aim. Will leave nothing behind.
GMBuff - Buffs player health and stamina to unlimited and stops hunger/thirst.
KillTarget - Applies max damage to target at center of aim.
Teleport x y - Teleport to the given coordinates (coordinates correspond to map in-game).
RefreshAdminTextList - Reload Admin list from file.
RefreshBanTextList - Reload Ban list from file.

Thanks, yeah was testing them out earlier today. There are still some that don't seem to work for some reason. Such as Hemp, Cotton, Cotton Yarn, & Wool Yarn.

Also, haven't been able to figure out how to do food & tool type items...

But I will keep updating this listing as I find more commands.

I was thinking of trying to put my server on a separate PC , but I don't get any lag or problems so will leave it as is , if you go into the server folder there is an .exe there for the server so technically I should be able to just start up the server using that , but don't know the dependencies yet and have not tried it , am working 12hr night shifts and was up for 26 hours yesterday , 1st night in .

Yes I was kind of looking at that also. I don't know if I technically would require another copy of the game if I were to set up a server on my other computer?? Advantages of that is that I could leave that computer up 24/7

Just deleted all the files to reset the world according to the one forum, so hoping this will work...

I did this and it works...got my character to show like 1 million hit points and stamina....the food/water kept going down though so dunno know about that part....I did spawn gold ore on my toon as well....thought it was bars but turned out to be ore :) so yeah it does work

Yeah even though GMBuff states it "Buffs player health and stamina to unlimited and stops hunger/thirst". It doesn't see to work completely on the hunger & thirst.

While I was testing out the various "Summon" commands, I found that those such as Gold, Salt, Silver & Sulfur, actually give the ore. Whereas you have to type GoldBar, SaltDust, SilverBar, or SulfurDust, to get the actual refined product. Note, these are not case sensitive.

There are some items that I could not seem to get to work such as Hemp, or Cotton. And so far have not been able to summon any other items in the game, but will be testing more things as time goes by.

The TP does not work for me in server. I've tried these examples:
- Teleport x 1,234,567 y 1,234,567
- Teleport x 1234567 y 1234567
- Teleport x = 1,234,567 y = 1,234,567
- Teleport 1,234,567 1,234,567
- Teleport 1234567 1234567

Nothing works very good. I either don't teleport at all, or I teleport outside the map or high up in the air falling to my death :D
The hell am I doing wrong?
