Just a few beginner tips

Beginners should pick up rocks on the ground as well as wood branches. This is how you will build your first hatchet for trees as well as picaxe for rocks. Once you have enough of these items, hit the tab key and craft first very first tools.

You have probably gathered some berries, eat these until you can find a way to kill, trap or fish for food. prickly pear cactus fruit is also available depending on where you start out.

if you are by a lake, press the letter E while standing in it to drink.

If you are struggling for leather, build a small one by one shoot shack (bow) near bison. They cant get in and you can stay there all day. Of course this is dependent of Bison, but it will keep you alive until you can build a large animal trap.

Don't build small, there are a ton of items you will need to build and you will run out of room fast and have to rebuild or expand quickly.

Best weapon is a rifle, its the sharp.

If you look at the map, you can see what block your in, in case you die and want to find your way back. you can also left click the map to leave a marker but be sure to zoom into the map to ensure you leave the marker on the correct area.

If you create something, always move these items to the box crates that you create, never leave them in the work benches or they will be gone with no explanation.

Most importantly, expect ♥♥♥♥ to break, expect to lose stuff and expect that you may have to start over. This game is early access, which means they are still fixing stuff.

the WINMAG is the way to go for a rifle.
i prefer a peacemaker pistol for bandits because they predominately drop pistol ammo to resupply me.

agreed. sharp makes more damage but for close combat u want a repeater (more shots before u have to reload)

You need to make Glass molds in the Anvil. Then take Glass mold + Sand to Brick forge. This will make you one glass.

Best gun is the hammerless or the double barrel shotgun. One shot kills on everything.

Gather constantly upon spawn
Once you have 25 wood build and place a spinning wheel ( no foundation needed)
Craft as much rope as you can
Craft lasso
Go rope and tame a horse
Craft bow and arrows
The world is now yours
