Buildings - Need help

So I am trying to expand the house that I build and I want to destroy some walls but I am unable to find an option to do so. Any help here would be greatly appreciated

Use sledge hammer to destroy if you want to keep the wood you used to build, or get close to the wall and hold the select key until a wheel shows you the option to delete.

By sledge hammer, do you mean the "log mallet" or sledge hammer is something different?

It is if you want your resources back, otherwise just go up to the foundation, wall etc press 'E' and there will be an option to destroy.
