Train track issue

Can you build the train track over the rivers.are you looking at adding bridges? I am trying to build the track across the west approx 15 Grid squares but can't seem to get the track across the river the track will work in the river but having trouble at the banks Please help

are you trying to lay track north top of map to south bottom of map ? if so i started at 2.17 and went south to 7.17 and ran into a snag there is no way to go any further the tracks will not place from middle of 7.12 to 7.20 and the middle of 8.12 to 8.20 cutting the map in half

trying to go from 13.14 - 17.19 need to cross a river

thanks i have worked a route around the river would be good if they added bridges and steam and whistle for train

So what exactly does the train do?
Can you ride in it? Haul supplies in it?

you can't ride in the train, you buy the train from the guy inside the train station that you buy too. there are 3 separate box cars that you buy either 1 or 2 or all 3 of the box cars and they can carry cargo that you place into each of the 3 box cars. you lay track starting at the first peace attached to the train station were the game will let you and the train will all by itself drive itself ( i say drive itself very loosely ) when the timer it runs i ques reaches 0 it goes until it reaches the next train station and stops or if it reaches the end of the track will reverse back to were it started and the timer starts again

So it's basically a moving storage? That's kinda disappointing that you can't ride it.

the train looks comical to watch rolling up and down the tracks, the devs did the bare minimum to make there physics look right in there moving like a train.

Does anyone know what the manage track at the station mean and what does it do?
Also if anyone is trying to add another station lay the track first the destroy the piece of track where you want the station to go stand in that gap and the station should snap to the track if it is around the right way make sure you have a big enough area and flat to drop your station in as its expensive if you get it wrong

Running track across river can be done but its tricky, be prepared to waste some track to find a good spot. Here's a pick of track and another pic of location on map, tracks run north and south.

I have built two bridges over water with Log structures, foundation off one bank add pole supports and layout ceiling across the water adding poles as required. Sometimes the foundation will not connect on the other side so you can finish the ceiling into the bank for a smooth transition. I haven't tried a rail track across it yet.
