Yeah, i can confirm the blacksmith's forge can repair weapons and tools.
Don't scrap them by accident though.
Does not work on Bandit stuff.
I just tried that, and, The smoker will NOT accept firearms. You end up
just dropping them. They are gone forever then.
EDIT: Ok i stand corrected. It does work.. Just don't have the smoker active.
IE: turn the fire OFF!
No it works with it turn on too i have a gold shotgun and repair my picks with it turn on they have never vanish lol
Which probably explains why the last post before yours was over three months ago... :D
But anyway, I believe they're working on adding a proper repair system of some sort, to replace that plugged exploit. Not everyone is convinced a repair system is actually necessary, but it will really depend on the final economic balancing (i.e. whether or not the cost of buying new weapons is high enough in comparison to the ease with which it's currently possible to make money. At the moment the cost of replacements is mere small change).
