Replayability

Hi!!! First, I want to say how much excited I am that the game is back on full force as AH:ME!!! I want to play it now!!!!
I saw the stream video and I wanted to ask something to the developers about replayability.
Is supposed that the game has a "system" with tiles, lightning, weather and events that changes every time you play it in a similar way that Mansions of Madness does on the tabletop or like a Diablo like system works on video games.
The question is, the bigger history and mystery is going to be always to solve the murder and confronting some Ancient One or peril at the end or some bigger events are going to be changed?
If it's the former, you plan to add new DLC "expansion like" over time?

we'll probably find some decisions to do on the story chapter after chapter to see some plot variation, but overall i think is a game like the physical Mansions of Madness and LoTR: you can replay it the same scenario (or the whole campaign) but overall you obtain the same experience.

Glad to see so much motivation and support!
As it is not a board game adaptation, the game does not have a « system for the Biom and monsters ».
Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace is an original game taking place in the unspeakable Arkham Horror Files universe.
Once you have done the game and if you still have some sanity, you will know every truth and the horrible secret that lied behind the curtain.
Of course, you will be able to start the adventure with a different investigator and might find a slight change, in fine the journey will be the same.
BUT you might find something you miss the first time and this might be the occasion to get hardcore achievements!

Regarding the future, I can’t say anything but we will be carefully listening to the community feedback and wishes!

So basically no replayability nor randomly generated scenarios to play with our high level or whatever investigators.

This seems like an Xcom style combat game with investigation elements added in ... I am conflicted. On one hand I am pleased that this game is coming (I play and love Arkham horror card game, mansions of madness, and death may die) out but I think I speak for a lot of fans when I say that what we wanted was more mansions of madness and less on rails game you are planning. You are limiting the scope of the game utterly when we could have had something more replayable and as such more fun and of course more open to expansions that would have been excellent for the fans wanting to expand the game and for yourselves for the missed opportunity of making extra money from the expansion packs :(

I don't quite understand that decision. Why not make encounter and clues randomized, to keep each playthrough unique enough to warrant a degree of replayability?

I don't get me wrong, I am still interested in what the game has to offer, but I won't lie - I am very concerned by this.

we will see how it goes but as a hardcore fan of akrham lore and owner of everything from mom1 and 2 yes I understand and hopefully there will be at least buyable stories as is in mom 2 ed.. we will see

I just finished the game and I am quite satisfied. I hope more entries in this series are planned. Now that other characters are opened, I plan on re-trying the story with different characters and seeking out some of the lesser-known achievements. It still scratches the right itch.

I would like randomized content as well...but it isn't a make-or-break for me.
