The reason this game failed wasn't because it lacked a wound system. It already had a digestion and injury system that didn't work.
It didn't fail because the map wasn't good enough or that it lacked different biomes, it already had that stuff.
It didn't fail because it lacked shield painting or better combat animations. Who the F are these fancy animations going to be used on anyway? Coconut crabs? Fish? Bananas?
The reason the game failed was because it had a overly complex crafting system that most people hated. Fix that, and you will have a game that actually sells and people can recommend to others. Its just that simple. Adding more character customization and body painting isn't going to change what ruined this game. Fix the crafting system or it will be a failure again. I am rooting for these developers because this was originally a decent game, before they trashed the crafting system. I hope they learned from their mistake as this game still has potential.
The point being: If you basically abandoned the game for 18 months, maybe you should have used that time to actually fix what caused the game to fail (THE CRAFTING SYSTEM) instead of working on body painting and mustaches.
Already clear that the revies are only messing around at 65%. everyone thought the game was dead and like many other games only gets mini fake updates
