Some tips for cooking or fishing?
So I am really struggling to figure out the cooking mechanic for the new version. I am just starting out, but the tutorial doesn't seem to cover any cooking, just making a fire and cracking open a coconut xD

I tried to place a crab near a fire and it didn't seem to achieve anything. I also built a roasting rack and I have no idea how to use it.

I also tried fishing... I have a rod and worms for bait, I managed to launch it into the water and then I was stood there a good 5 minutes and nothing happened.

Any tips, hints and breakthroughs would be appreciated lol

you need to place roasting rack on a fire with "Q".
I know nothing about fishing =]]

First, in the current version, a campfire and a roasting rack are installed, and when you hold an ingredient (fish, open shellfish, meat) in your hand and focus on the roasting rack, follow the menu that appears and the ingredients will be placed on the rack. The food is then cooked after a certain amount of time.
If placed directly over a campfire, it may be destroyed.
When it comes to fishing, one thing that is certain is that there is a high probability of catching fish in places where fish rarely wash up on the shore, whether in the sea or in a lake.
When you hit a hit, press the left mouse button and pull the mouse toward you while watching the fish's movement. Think of it as if you were pulling it towards you.
So don't throw it too far, try to throw it closer.

Awesome, thank you for all the info :)

Is there any way to cook more complicated food? Like I saw recipes for pottery, like a bowl, can we make soup in it or something?

I don't wanna eat raw mushrooms 😂

Do you know if there is any way to cook fruit or mushrooms? Or is it just meat and seafood for now?

In the previous version, it seems that secondary processing was possible by placing the material in a container filled with water. I haven't tried everything, but it seems like fruits, fish, and meat can't be added at the moment.
Maybe it will be reimplemented in the future. Let's expect.
Oh, I'm sorry.
I'm Japanese and I'm answering using translation, so I hope I understand correctly.
By the way, if you approach a drying rack, campfire, or ceramic bowl with materials in hand, and the F key menu does not change, you can tell that it is not currently functioning. This will probably give you a hint.

Where do you find worms.? I have been digging with the shovel but only get soil and clay

The worms that I found were from digging soil, in grass. I've only found one, which was actually a stack of around 15. I don't know if there was anything special about that grass spot were I found them, like if it was under a cut bush or something like that. It seems rare. I wonder if digging during the rain affect the chance.
