Additional commands for the terminal
Hi

Really enjoying the sim a lot, thanks! Here are a few suggestions for new terminal commands based on my experience with it so far which other people might also appreciate perhaps.
Some of these overlap with each other. A lot of them I am suggesting to reduce the number of times I have to open and close the laptop, but sometimes I'm just in the mood to use console commands rather than pressing buttons :)
I saw that someone else suggested elsewhere that having a direct terminal connection available at the desk would be nice, and I agree. Especially if you could access the terminal whilst still being able to see the various other displays. Would that mean another screen? Haha. Terminal FTW!

SHOWAZIMUTH or SHOWA fetch and display current azimuth alignment
SHOWELEVATION or SHOWEL fetch and display current elevation alignment
CURRENT fetch and display current azimuth and elevation
STATUS list values from status screen (efficiencies, speeds, detections, temperature)
TIME report current date and time
CHECKTEMPEXTERNAL or CHECKTEMPE report external temperature
POWER list values from power screen (efficiencies, rates)
COORDINATES report current min/max/averages for azimuth and elevation, if these values exist
Do the servers for each antenna run at different temperatures? If so then:
CHECKTEMP /1
CHECKTEMP /2
etc. for remote report from each individual server. Or perhaps
CHECKTEMPALL to list all eleven different values.

Also if you could find some way to explain to my wife why this is all so much more fun than it looks then that would be appreciated, but i think I'm on my own with that one.

When i start developing the game, it was just because i wanted to play a game like this :) , my wife still can't understand it. Let's say it is because we are all fans of it :). Will release a small update today or tomorrow and will start adding them in the game.

Oh, awesome! Thanks :)

...obviously my suggested command names could probably do with a little tweaking.

Hello! Revisiting this - loving the new commands, and the ability to step through prior commands, and... well, there's a lot to love really.

Would it be possible to make some tweaks so that the information stays on screen for longer, though? At the moment if you use a couple of the different terminal commands in succession (e.g. current, status, coordinates) then most if the useful information is scrolled off the top of the screen by the multi-line "connecting %" messages.
I think that it would be more enjoyable to be able to bring up the information on screen and look at it while you decide what to do next, rather than bringing it up a little at a time and having to either remember it or write it down. So, could you reduce the "%" messages a bit? Or implement some kind of ability to scroll back up the terminal and see what's already been displayed? Or... something? I know that having incremental % counters is a big theme throughout this game for lots of different things, so maybe if you don't want to reduce/eliminate these messages then they could be moved somewhere else - toolbar at the bottom of the terminal, maybe? Somewhere that they won't reduce the usefulness of the other commands by hiding the data.

But even if you don't make any more tweaks to this any time soon, I am still enjoying it very much thank you.

I love the terminal part. I work in IT, so I'm very familiar with SSH terminals, etc.

I find myself constantly hitting Tab, and up arrow though! It drives me nuts! So, to add on to your post. I would love to see tab-filling and last commands with up arrow.

(such as instead of typing "diagnostics" type "dia" + Tab and it fills it out for you.)

Small stuff, but I feel that this game is really geared toward technical minded people. So, small things like this really raise the bar for us :)
