...obviously my suggested command names could probably do with a little tweaking.
Would it be possible to make some tweaks so that the information stays on screen for longer, though? At the moment if you use a couple of the different terminal commands in succession (e.g. current, status, coordinates) then most if the useful information is scrolled off the top of the screen by the multi-line "connecting %" messages.
I think that it would be more enjoyable to be able to bring up the information on screen and look at it while you decide what to do next, rather than bringing it up a little at a time and having to either remember it or write it down. So, could you reduce the "%" messages a bit? Or implement some kind of ability to scroll back up the terminal and see what's already been displayed? Or... something? I know that having incremental % counters is a big theme throughout this game for lots of different things, so maybe if you don't want to reduce/eliminate these messages then they could be moved somewhere else - toolbar at the bottom of the terminal, maybe? Somewhere that they won't reduce the usefulness of the other commands by hiding the data.
But even if you don't make any more tweaks to this any time soon, I am still enjoying it very much thank you.
I find myself constantly hitting Tab, and up arrow though! It drives me nuts! So, to add on to your post. I would love to see tab-filling and last commands with up arrow.
(such as instead of typing "diagnostics" type "dia" + Tab and it fills it out for you.)
Small stuff, but I feel that this game is really geared toward technical minded people. So, small things like this really raise the bar for us :)
