Crash to Desktop (and other bugs)
Hi there,

I just purchased the game and unfortunately I'm getting this error whenever I try to start a new game, followed by the game crashing to desktop:

Sometimes, the game does start for a few minutes but as soon as I look at the server room door, it either CTDs or just freezes. I can still control the game somewhat (such as opening the menu with the ESC key, or moving around and hearing the sound source change) but it's completely frozen.

I've tried putting all graphical settings on minimum, changing resolutions / windowed mode to no avail.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey! I fixed the problem :) I was using MSI Afterburner on my graphics card, and that was causing the memory issue, crashing the game itself. I turned it off back to normal settings (putting the GFX Memory Clock to default) and no more crashes so far!

Also yes, the game shows three types of 1920x1080p resolutions but doesn't show the Hz, but I figured it would be something like that.

Thanks again!

Hello can you please run dxdiag and send me the information. In the log i saw some error, it is possible to be your system, but still i need more info.

Also i have found that for some reason there is no connection between your Steam client and the game.

[Steamworks.NET] SteamAPI_Init() failed.

Is this the full log of the game, i saw some differences between yours and the final version. Is the game fully updated ?

Hey, here's my DXdiag: https://pastebin.com/UekSYuyi

Now that you mention it, for example when I try to enter Dota Underlords through Steam, it does not let me access the game because it says I'm not logged into Steam, but I am.

The game is fully updated to version 1.7.0, but I can try to reinstall.

What is this Borderless Gaming. If you have any software that is working with the games, please stop it and try again. In the Unity log there was some res issues, so it is possible to cause a problem with the game.

Hey, I disabled Borderless Gaming and tried to run the game in Windowed 1280x720 resolution, it works fine now, but whenever I change it back to 1920x1080 fullscreen it keeps crashing, so it's definitely some weird resolution problem :(

How many monitors do you have, for me it gives me to choose 3 1920x1080 res , first is 50Hz , second 59 and the last is 60Hz based on the monitor support. In the next update all the different resolutions and Hz will be visible. Will be added in the next 3 days. if you have more than one try to switch between, but this is for sure some conflict in the system. Still will have to research what exactly is causing it and see if it possible to add some code restriction to prevent crashing.

Also you have Exception Code: c0000005. This usually Occurs when the System is unable to Access a Process, DLL or Memory Allocation.

The Application will crash w c0000005 when it runs out of memory to read/write to.
The Application will crash w/ c0000005 when the Application sends a command to DirectX Libraries that the Driver or Device does not recognize.

Try updating you system, Direct X 11, and the video card drivers, also if you don't have and admin account create one and log in with it, and start the game as admin.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
