How much has this game improved?

I was playing it for some time before it released on Steam, it was quite incomplete and was mostly just a chat sim at the moment, but then they deleted all existing accounts and I lost my character, which had me quit for awhile.
Is it still worth coming back to, depending on how buggy it is and such?
I understand that early access games can be buggy by the way, I play quite a few, but the negative reviews here are throwing me off a bit.

once i was riding my bike and i hit a curb in a weird way. I fell over the front and scrapped most the skin off my hands and face. i also caught my leg in the front wheel on the way over and bent my leg in ways it just shouldn't. pretty much looked like overly beat wife for 4 weeks. anyway, that was far more entertaining than this game.
