Anyone else still playing alaskan storm?

whenever I get tired of this game and want to play it the way it should've been made I go play Alaskan Storm. That game has so much nostalgia.

I went back to it too-a much better game, better sea environment, better crew management, much more polished in general. Steam should put it up for sale instead 🙂 Works perfectly in Windows 10, too.

I agree, I haven't had any issues with it on newer windows. I really love the way the crew is automated and 3rd person view. I been a supporter of this game since before alpha, and it was originally to be a one person game where YOU had to do everything. It was exhausting.

i noticed that alot of game devs. are remastering their older games. i think thats what they should have done with Alaskan Storm.

i managed to find a site where you can download the game and its soooo much better than this version

I still play it. I stayed away from this game on steam simply because it has nothing over Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm.

I still make videos of the game Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm. I just made a couple this week alone, and plan on making more.

Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm is far superior, and it's so sad to see a developer taking advantage of Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm to trick people into thinking they are getting an up to date version.

Anyway, you can still get Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm quite easily online, and works fine on windows 10. Also make sure you download the last patch for the game, it fixes a few issues.

Just a quick note, for those who have a AMD R9-380 video card, you will experience graphical issues.

have you noticed if you change any resolution settings it immediately crashes and cant restart? I would like to play full screen but it does not like it. Id like to see some of your videos you make if you can link them.

You need to open the folder that's in the folder"Alaska" in C:\Users\Username\Documents. Open the file "Settings.lth" with Notepad and change [Resolution] to your preferred resolution and [Windowed] to Yes. Now start the game, go to Options-->Rendering and select Full Screen. You need to do this every time you start the game.
