Is this game controller only?

I like retro metroidvanias so i bought this one and 2, tried playing this one first but all it shows is a controller input screen and it doesnt do anything when i try to click my keyboard to set the keys, can I do something with just steam or will I need to download those controller emulators?

Keyboard works.

But this isnt a metroidvania. Curse of the Moon 1 and 2 are side games based on original Castlevania platforming linear stages.

Ritual of the Night is the metroidvania.

OK, but how do I start the game? What are the keys? I'm pressing all the keys and it never leaves the controller input screen.

OK I finally managed to do it, if someone finds this post you just have to press enter a bunch of times until main menu appears, then you have to change resolution from 3 to 4 otherwise some of the text doesnt appear. game controls are here: https://shared.fastly.steamstatic.com/store_item_assets/steam/apps/838310/manuals/Manual_en.pdf?t=1727748384
