CRT effect mods?
Well? Are there any by chance?
Any CRT effect mods? Would be nice, along with an old TV black borders vignette - if you know what I mean. I am really 100% old-school. And I was disappointed strongly this game didn't feature such.

Unless you can play this in Retroarch somehow I wouldn't know how... Would be awesome if Retroarch could load windows games as well as a front end. If this is possible, just use any Premade Shader under CRT > GEOM. This shader looks sick, and is very configurable.

It makes your monitor look like an actual TV without the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cartoon borders, but black borders, rounded corners, and slight reflection giving that depth on the sides and bottom, you know what I mean. Can adjust the aspect ratio as you like, and can make it without scanlines, or effects. Can shape corners as you like, etc.

That's a negative on the Retroarch. Reshade apparently has ported a number of its shaders tho according to the retroarch devs. I'd give reshade a look!

Thanks a lot for your input my friend! Sorry a bit for this late reply. Things were very busy.

I've created something like this, but for Shovel Knight. I also use it with Curse of The Moon with tweaked settings.

Oh that looks TOTAL COOLNESS!! It's PERFECT!! Where do I put the file and how do I install it?
Radical Rat Feb 25, 2020 @ 7:24am
First download Reshade:
https://reshade.me/

Then run it and choose COTM.exe

It'll install all necessary files in COTM directory.

Then just copy that .ini file to same folder where COTM.exe is.

* C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Bloodstained Curse of the Moon\exe * folder, or something like this

Run the game and press HOME - Reshade window will open, so you can load that .ini file and also tweak all settings.

@fenderjaguar

Wish I could remember the exact settings. I know the horizontal resolution was set to native to make it sharp as possible and the vertical resolution is 250 [the game is in 240, but that's the slightly offset fit I used for the shadow mask].

I used a modded CRT Geom port in conjunction with Watchdogs.fx for blue shift. Chromatic abberation was added as well.

When tuning these CRT shaders I found it a good idea to get really close to the display and try to get the sharpest shadow mask effect while at the same time getting rounded fall off on the brightest "beams". Study the white text up close as you change the sharpness and luminance.
