What gives Red Riding Hood (as Pierrot) 9999 HP?
I found something weird. After a L80 devolution, Red stopped gaining MP on level-up from around L70 as the Pierrot class, and then her HP suddenly jumped to 9999 when she hit L77. I unequipped all her gear and her HP remained at 9999, so it's not some item effect.

If I change her to any other class, her HP and MP return to normal values, and if I change her back to Pierrot, she gets 9999 HP and ~800 MP.

Is this a glitch, or does Red have some funny passive skill? I haven't tried it with Rapunzel yet, so I don't know if it's specific to Red.

It must be a glitch, and probably only visual.

Her HP/SP became normal after L79(?), and it's not reproducible on Rapunzel.

One of the guides here show it happening to Rapunzel, also lv77 Pierrot, no mention of blood devolution

Still, probably a bug
Maybe related to Pierrot's HP Up skill?

Edit again: Observed this in my own game on Rapunzel at lv77/Pierrot, she got about 7870 HP with no points in HP Up

Yeah, probably a bug, since it only happens on one level, and reverts to normal on the next. I didn't have a chance to test if they can actually take 9000+ damage, or if it's just a visual glitch.

The HP Up skill is %-based (10/20/30%), so anything above 7700 or so will be brought up to 9999.

They can, I had the opportunity to test it, and it works as you'd expect from a 9999 HP character.

Interesting... They probably misaligned an entry in a table or didn't properly define a piecewise function, and it went unnoticed during testing.

There are other quirks with the game, such as Cinderella missing a Massacre skill, and some missing Prison Keys (02, 13, 21, 30, 31, 32, 38).

This also reminds me of a stupid glitch in the PS3 version of Atelier Shallie, where you can do almost infinite damage with the weakest items at a particular quality level, using a property that scales damage inversely to the original.

At first I thought it was a glitch/bug as well, until you mentioned that it's only at lv77 only.

Well, that obviously means that it isn't a glitch at all, especially since it's 77, you know, two 7s? Lucky number 7? Pierrot, the "joker" class based on RNG and luck?

Their SP stat gets stuck for quite a few levels before 78 as well, so it's not just one level, and I seriously doubt it was intentional.
