I mean, yeah, obviously somebody chose it to be pink, but it being pink "cuz demons'n'stuff" is silly.
Ffs, the dungeons look like Splatoon maps.
there is both red blood and pink blood in the game. Demons have bright pink blood its not childish or anything its just not human blood. Throwing a fit over this IS childish and nonsense.
Yeah, sorry, i know that the game has a following, but compared to Zero Time Dilemma it's just unbelievably basic. Especially since it's pretty much predetermined that only 1 person, tops 2 survive and everybody else will make decisions so contrived, James Bond villains are taking notes with stars in their eyes and awe in their hearts.
And well, i'm not that into child-torture-gore-porn i guess, which games like Dungan Rompa, Corpse Party and Higurashi are.
And it was even more stupid there. At least here they are trying to explain it away, and kinda support it with their UI color. Though i'm not sure if magenta is the best color for prolonged exposure to stare at.
No, what i want is the in-game logic to be consistent. Which i guess it is to a degree, though it's clearly just an excuse to get around ratings in japan.
I'm not that into opening cans of worms, but the reason for Blood Maidens to be female isn't that men can't be Blood Maidens by some universal logic, but because the devs decided that a waifu squad is better than a sausage fest. Which i am immensely grateful for, but i think you get what i am trying to say in regards to blood color.
Ok, so where is the red blood then?
Pssst, if you use the allholy argument of the Allholy Trinity of Fanboy arguments, you have to use the other 2 aswell. You see, you used "Just play something else / just dont play it", but you forgot to use "You aren't a dev, they know everything better" and "If you don't like it, make a better one".
lmao.
The ones with pink blood are Marchen.
The ones with red blood are human.
The main characters (based on fairy-tale personalities) are result of the Jail's mimicry and were born from Marchen.
Even if the game had no reason for this, would it really be a problem?
You're trying very hard to receive attention. The game has so and so many supernatural elements, and the biggest absurdity to you is that some blood looks pink. Holy f...
Well, if you would bother to read, you would know what i am expecting - a mod or a patch, just like for the usual censorship.
It's a toxic color that just burns in the eyes, i dont see the need for it.
I'm joyful because this bothers you so much. Your tears give me power. Please, continue to cry, I shall only become stronger and happier as you descend into maddness.
Nice try, but it's more of a nuisance than a bother. Besides - you clearly overdid it at the end there. A simple "LeL, cry more, i drink your salty tears of despair" is often more effective than trippling down on the same insult.
I am also fully aware that the only people defending this color are only doing so for the sake of argument. Nobody plays a game with sanguine blood splatters and thinks to himself "Man, would sure be awesome if it had some random-ass color".
Doki Doki Literarue club is another game that is nightmare inducing. Its free on steam, play it if you haven't. P.s. to get diff routes u pick poem words that the girl your aiming for likes, you'll know if its one if their SD chara on the word selection page jumps when you click it. you get a special thing at the end if you have done all routes as well.
Also if they are demons they can make the blood any color they want, i've seen some with neon green blood before. So pink is not THAT bad. Then.. again I haven't played the game yet, so I guess I can't judge.
Imho The Letter did it better. Doki Doki is fun, but even if you jump through hoops to get the "good" ending, it's still pretty damn dark. In The Letter you can pretty much save or damn everybody involved, except for the intro deaths that kick the story off in the first place (unfortunately). And the amount of endings is astonishing, showing that your decision weren't illusion of choice crap and that they actually influenced the outcomes.
But that's an exception. It kinda feels like developers of horror games in particular are straight up afraid of allowing the player a good ending nowadays. I mean, make it obscure, make it hard to get, make me work for it - but give me something satisfying, rather than the same-old-same-old bittersweet, creepy bs.
Like, sorry, but after the 50129th time, it's not really affecting me, when Protagonist A sacrifices himself / herself at the end, to save Protagonist B, just when they "finally found friends". It just makes my eyes roll for about half an hour and rub the bridge of my nose for another 30 minutes.
Hell, if anybody in an anime / anime game says "I finally found friends", they may as well slice their own throat.
