Load a file
As you may already know, Load a File is used for such things as creating checkpoints and being able to escape back to a stage select from any part of a level...

But, you see, there's this interesting issue that happens when you try to use both of these things in the same game: First it autosaves on the stage select so that I can return there, but now suppose I touch a checkpoint later in the level, then I attempt to escape back to the stage select...

That's when I discovered that both things save TO THE SAME FILE!

Is there a way to make these two functions save their data to DIFFERENT files? And load whichever file is needed depending on situation?

Yes you would need to change the File Slot variable before you save, then you would need to make sure you are on the correct File Slot variable before you load again. Alot of times I like to have checkpoints and things on a higher number file slot (ie. 99) so that my game slots can be 1-3 but internal checkpoints are something else.
