Getting started with PGMMV - the ultimate guide!
Hi all!
I am PixCube, the Community Manager for Pixel Game Maker MV.

Whether you are starting your journey in game making, or are a seasoned game designer, you might be a bit lost on where to get started with PGMMV.
Don't give up: there are plenty of resources to help you!

Where to buy PGMMV:
First of all, you can download the trial version for free: it lasts 30 days, so that is plenty of time to make prototypes and see if you are comfortable with the engine.
The full version of PGMMV is available here on Steam and http://shttps://pixel-game-maker-mv.itch.io/pixel-game-maker-mv.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/837510/Pixel_Game_Maker_MV/

Where to learn how to use PGMMV:
There are integrated tutorials in PGMMV.
In a few steps, they teach you the basics of the engine. If you missed a step or two while doing it, the written version is available on Steam ( Side View and Top View ).
There are also a ton of tutorials on YouTube, the most in-depth being the ones made by Baz on his channel.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJugM7dV7E7mKvDPLyLgp_Q/featured
The tutorials made by Baz are the reference for both new and advanced users.
PGMMV provides also a variety of Sample Projects, so if you like to figure out things by yourself, you can pick up a sample and study it!
In addition to this, there is a Manual[tkool.jp] that you can consult, and a Wiki[pixel-game-maker-mv.fandom.com] where you can learn but also share your knowledge!
Last but not the least, follow us on Twitter
or on Facebook[www.facebook.com]. We share nice materials there, along with weekly tips, tutorials, videos about game design, and more!

Where to ask for help:
PGMMV has an active Steam forum (here!) where you can search for answers and ask questions.
There is also some unofficial Discord servers where everyone is ready to help each other!
And if you cannot find an answer, you can always send us an email to maker_support@activegamingmedia.com too!

Where to find assets:
If you need some support with finding the assets, we cannot recommend enough to take a look at our DLC and the https://itch.io/game-assets!
PGMMV is flexible in the size of the sprites and tilesets and is compatible with most of the 2d resources.

Tips for your first game:
Start with simple things! Taking your time to learn the software along with all the other aspects of creating a game is very important. Don't rush to complex operations yet.
We made a little Steam guide that can be still very helpful, be sure to check it out!
And, finally, don't forget to get inspired! Check out the games made with PGMMV on the Wiki category [pixel-game-maker-mv.fandom.com]and on the dedicated Itch.io collection [itch.io]. You will be surprised by the variety of games made with the engine!

How to promote your work:
Sharing your progress can give you a boost of motivation when you need it. You can go live on Twitch, share gifs and screenshots on Twitter (don't forget to tag us, we watch everything!), post on the #showcase sections of Discord or Steam, create a Discord server for your game, participate to our Jams and Contest... find the way that works for you and don't give up!

We can't wait to see what kind of games you will create with PGMMV!

Ich würde es sogar selber übersetzen. Ist sicher gleich aufgebaut wie ihr eigenes Sprachmodul im Maker:steamsalty:
