Any good and comfortable programs for making Pixel Art?
Hi people!

I'm interested in making Pixelart for my Yume Nikki fangame, but I'm lacking a good program for it.
Do you know any good apps I could use that ideally are not priced?

(I heard that Aseprite is the best out there, but I also find it silly that a pixelart program would actually cost money, and is overpriced for what it is.)

You might find https://www.piskelapp.com/ a good free alternative. There is also paint.net, Krita, and GIMP. All of those mentions can do pixel art, but they are not specially for pixel art so they have many options you won't need. Programs like Aseprite generally have more options.

Aseprite is Free. You have to compile it. When you BUY Aseprite, all your'e doing is paying for a COMPILED version.

Aseprite, pyxeledit and pixel studio on mobile are all fantastic apps for making pixel art. I personally use pixel studio on my ipad with apple pencil as it feels natural and convenient for me.

Aseprite might not be free, but it's not super costly either.
So, i'd recommend that.
