Keyboard Input?
I was going through the tutorials and was having problems with jumping. I kept trying to push the "A" button on the keyboard and nothing would happen. Eventually figured out that the "S" button would work instead, which seems a bit weird. It appears the bindings work with my Xbox controller though.

Is there a way to designate specific keyboard bindings so we can make use of additional keys and map them more logically for games not intended to be played with a controller?

Hey bigtunacan, so the A press is referring to the default A ‘Control Key’ which by default I believe is not set for keyboard input. You can go to Project Settings -> Control Key Management and on the right column under Control Key A, you can set the keyboard key you want to be associated to it.

@baz, Thank you. I had figured out that it matched up with the Xbox controller bindings which made sense; I just didn't see how to control keyboard bindings and add additional keys. It was exactly where you said; thanks so much!
