Can you post a picture of what you're referring to?
I will chime in here and note that I hope this does become part of the plan at some point to make that optionally displayed. RPG Maker has allowed that to be optional, and while it's a bit of an apples ro oranges comparison, this is part of the maker series and the precedent has been kinda set at this point.
Just my thoughts on the matter. For me, I won't be bothered by it, but I can see how some users may be bothered by it. I mean, you have designers ging to great lengths to hide that a game was made by RPG Maker because of such negative stigma revolving that product and the games made with it (not the engine's/Kaodkawa's fault, but I digress).
Hey Abstract the Origin! Thank you for always being so helpful in the forums! :) We certainly understand the issue and appreciate you taking the time to let us know what you think. I will make sure to pass your feedback along to the team! Thank you!
This software is not FREE like Unreal Engine, if I pay, I will be able to remove the splashscreen.
That way they can go "oh wow, this was made with Pixel Game maker? Well i'll be damned!"
Having it before hand will make consumers back away because of the stigma that was mentioned before.
Having it at the end after credits could actually help fight against the stigma.
Either way, RPG Maker MV does not force it, why should Pixel Game Maker MV?
For that matter, there's free engines out there.. more complicated yes, but free.. and they don't force a splash screen.
If you're gonna force that sort of advertisement, i'd like you guys to help fund the development of my game.
Some players have negative bias for this kind of game engine, and user should have rights to disable in paid version.
We have hear your points and the team is discussing internally about removing or not the splash screen. We will let you know once we reach a conclusion.
Thank you, PixCube.
Something to note that RPG Maker MV still has the splash screen available, but it was provided as a separate plugin that you could remove at your leisure.
