Workaround for Mac controller issues

As reported by several people in the General Info thread, there seems to be a problem with the game not recognizing controllers on Mac.

I reached out to [e-mail] and they offered this advice, which did work for me:

As a test, would you be able to try the following:

1. In Steam, ctrl-click “Untitled Goose Game” in the Library sidebar and click “Manage -> Browse local files”
2. Quit Steam completely
3. Double-click the Untitled Goose Game icon in Finder

And see if running the game this way, with Steam closed, allows the controller to work?

If this does fix your issue, you may need to change your Steam Input settings. To do this, ctrl click "Untitled Goose Game" in your Steam library, and change the Steam Input Per-Game setting to "Forced Off".

Thanks for the tips! Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work for Steam Controller. It only shows up as Keyboard and Mouse control :-(

Can two computers do the remote play? Or do you NEED a controller to do multiplayer?

Old thread but what ended up fixing it for me was going into System Preferences, under Privacy & Security -> Bluetooth, click the Plus icon and add the game manually. Controller worked fine after I did that.
