In my case, option "unity player" returned sound for the most part of videos
Quest 2 can decode 8k videos natively. You don't really need to use the tether method to play the videos in your computer.
If Quest 2 cannot see your video files, I recommend using a media organizer called "Stash", which Quest 2 can browse the posters and choose the video to play. My special built Stash for DeoVR is here:
