Is this a fairly lengthy game? Fair difficulty?

For a game built for the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) it's a long game. Most action games from back then took about 30 minutes to beat once you were good enough. This game will take you hours to beat. And there replay value too.
The difficulty is very fair. You will not be punished by Tanglewood :)

I can only comment on length - the average playthrough from our beta testers for their first ever run was 4.5 hours. Some managed to narrow it down to 1.5 hours after a few plays and some skills!

A Twitch streamer managed it in 5 hours today.

I thought it was excessively long given how there's almost nothing going on for the majority of the game
