From SEA but sent to TR Region (Chronology)
Dear Everyone who had the same problem as mine, I decided to share this chronology to assist people who had same problem with me. I owned this game early this year around end of February 2020 and on May I decide to play, invited my steam friend to buy and hope we able to play together as team, unfortunately, they was not able to add me friend in game. That was the moment I realize I am alone been thrown into different region. Therefore I sent ticket to few parties. The chronology of tickets as below. Hope this help those who had same problem. This was not solved yet, I will update until my problem solve.

I do understand that during this pandemic, the will be limited support and they maybe delays on their side. Fingercross.

Steam Support
------------------
6 May 2020 - Sent ticket to steam support, explain the situation with region login.
8 May 2020 - Support team responded, they said limited support therefore please contact developer.
8 May 2020 - I replied, said that "However, if the package(s) in your Steam account is not a package for your region or if your launcher opens for a different region, please contact [Steam Support]." as stated on BD notice both. Already mentioned it on 6 May 2020.
9 May 2020 - Support team responded the same as 8 may 2020, refer developer.
10 May 2020 - Once again I sent ticket, explain that I contacted developer (zendesk bdo) they said contact steam.
10 May 2020 - Steam asked me to contact BDO support team again.

* I did not respond yet as I am sure, they had nothing to do with it. 3 Different representative from steam answer similiarly.

6 May 2020 - Sent ticket, explain the same problem.
6 May 2020 - GM responded, they said they unable to transfer my account from TR to SEA, I guess they misread the situation.
6 May 2020 - I rephrase my situation
6 May 2020 - GM replied "Sadly, we do not control which servers you connect to, your location does. I would suggest you to contact Steam should you feel something is off." Straightly sent me to steam support as above. Therefore I replied the ticket said their notice mentioned to sent ticket for account deletion.
7 May 2020 - GM responded, "Unfortunately we here at Kakao Games don't have any interaction with either the SEA or Turkey regions and to resolve this case you will likely need to contact them to find out what options are available to you."

* Unfortunately they are not helping, since they said BlackDeset support team at ZenDesk do not have any interaction. That was shocking. They are lazy as hell, How come same company didn't communicate each other? Stay away from BD Support at ZenDesk, they will not helping at all.

8 May 2020 - Sent ticket to SEA Region asking update.
8 May 2020 - GM SEA replied that the process is still on going, they are waiting for TR GM complete their process then SEA will assist.
14 May 2020 - Sent ticket asking for assist.
15 May 2020 - GM replied asking for steam information.
15 May 2020 - I respond with information asked.
19 May 2020 - Still nothing, no news

6 May 2020 - Sent ticket, abnormal region login
6 May 2020 - GM replied, "I started the process for you. Your problem will be solved as soon as possible." When I read this, I am very satisfied and happy.
8 May 2020 - Sent ticket asking for update on case
9 May 2020 - GM replied that the process is still ongoing.
13 May 2020 - Sent ticket asking for update
15 May 2020 - "The account deletion process can take a long time. I am really sorry about that but we need to wait some time. Thank you for your patience." wtf TR???
19 May 2020 - Still nothing, no news
26 May 2020 - 20 days. yeah, as expected, still nothing. Imagine if you purchase in-game and getting into problem. This amount of period to is nonsense.
2 June 2020 - Sent ticket for update
4 June 2020 - They answer "Necessary actions are being taken carefully by our end. I do really understanding you as a gamer. But your concern will be solved as soon as possible."

* As today, still waiting for good news. Already a month since my first report.


Those who had the same problem, contact TR Region BD, it may taking some time. I am still waiting, since I do not want to bother them on Saturday and Sunday, I will try to get further information on update tomorrow or on Wednesday.

Those who had same problem, feel free to share your experience, I hope it will help fellow gamers who are needed.

He just want people to recognise him. Even PearlAbyss take months to fix it.

Just an update, I sent email to all PearlAbyss Support and PR on all region including their HQ a week ago. None of them responding to my email. A huge corporate entity with very bad support team. Therefore, here a real solution.

1. If you just buy this game and run into this problem, REFUND! and if you really like this game, REBUY the game. and try to install, after 500mb, stop the download and peak at BDO file, if it said TR. Then REFUND. if SEA. Proceed with download. You are safe to go. This only work if you not yet registered your account on TR. If you did it. REFUND as they are not going to solve it and you will stuck on TR forever.

2. If your steam refund grace period ending. Good Game (GG). we are in the same boat. Just sent a support ticket, and wait for a year or more, pray a lot. By the time they fix your, other game already buried BDO.

Ariel Nugie (orang soppeng) commented a possible solution in another thread, so i'm just going to share it here for the people who are planning to buy the game.

In order to avoid your account being set in the Turkish server, after you download the game, DO NOT create an account. Check the terms and condition first, if its dirrect you to the TR website (https://www.tr.playblackdesert.com), that means its Turkish server... Go to the SEA black desert website to download the client from there, instal it and copy the client onto your steam bdo game. After that, check terms and conditions again. If its direct you to the SEA website, that means you
are safe to create your account now

Yeah, this is the solution for those who not yet create account on TR. Most of the people in the discussion did create the account. Same as me. Did not bother to read discussion until fall into the pit.

I won't bother trying to talk to you after this reply. You're being absolutely useless in this matter unless you gave us all the fix.

I need to agreed with this 101%.

Refund is the only way to fix this. BDO team only care about profit not player.

Developer SHOULD learn from Blizzard, Player can choose their region, no hassle, no headache, no need to sent ticket, everything smooth.

Easy work. Sit in front of computer, and replied every ticket with same text template. If I keep silence, I think it will takes forever to complete. :(


do you have account in SEA region? because in my understanding your case is since you started playing BDO it is TR region already? ryt?

Yes, I started BDO and without realising they sent me to the wrong region. Notice it when my friend could not found me in-game. So I sent ticket for them to sent me to correct region. And it my fault bro?

Sounds like you buy the game😁. You got it for free dont get too harsh and you didnt try for 2 months. Now ur complaining. Maybe you have purchase the free in TR😂. Buy now so your account will be fix.

How can gms look your account if you have no SEA character?. Gms only fix if you have evidence your in the right region like youve played for 2 month then suddently cannot.

teach me how to select buy TR or SEA region STEAM BDO from steam? I bought more than 600 games on steam (see my account if you dont believe), this is the weird one. When bought, no selection of region, player will be asked to register without region selection.

I hope this is not your first time using steam. There are no such thing when bought game from steam and it asked your to select which region you want to buy. If you bought it non-steam BDO then it make sense. If yes, show me a video which buying BDO, it ask player to select region.

And see in SEA steam discussion, many new player have the same issue. This problem happened since February 2020.

Unfortunately they are not concern about customer issues. I am done with pearl abyss. If any new player bought this game and had the same abnormal region issue, do not have high hope. My suggestion, contact steam and asked for refund. Pearl Abyss support will do nothing.

Honestly I am disappointed with their CS support.
